About the Company
OpenRouter provides the open AI routing and infrastructure layer that businesses rely on to access, manage, and improve performance across leading large language models from multiple providers. The platform is designed to help enterprises avoid vendor lock-in, capacity limits, and avoidable cost while staying flexible as model capabilities change over time.
The Role
This position is an early hire on the team and will help establish the recruiting foundation for technical hiring in this location. It is a full-cycle recruiting role covering the entire hiring journey, including pipeline creation, candidate engagement, and offer closure.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with technical leaders to understand hiring priorities and provide guidance on effective recruiting practices.
- Create and maintain a healthy pipeline of technical candidates to support both immediate hiring needs and future expansion.
- Advise hiring managers on talent market conditions, compensation expectations, and practical recruiting approaches.
- Look for ways to improve recruiting processes and make the hiring workflow more efficient.
- Maintain accurate records and clean data in the Applicant Tracking System (Ashby), ensuring the system stays organized and reliable.
- Coach and support teammates to improve overall recruiting quality and execution.
- Drive sourcing efforts to reach strong passive candidates across a range of technical specialties.
- Partner with colleagues across the company so recruiting efforts align with broader business goals.
What We're Looking For
- At least 7 years of end-to-end technical recruiting experience in a fast-moving environment.
- A demonstrated history of helping build high-performing technical teams in a rapidly growing company.
- The ability to develop trusted relationships with hiring partners and act as a dependable advisor.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage candidate processes in a structured and efficient way.
- A humble, hands-on approach and willingness to contribute wherever needed to help the team succeed.
- Experience mentoring peers through example and practical guidance.
- Comfort using data and recruiting metrics to shape strategy and decision-making.
- Strong awareness of technology trends, startup activity, and where top talent is currently concentrated.
