About Notion
Notion is a collaborative AI-powered workspace designed to unify knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools in a single platform, facilitating faster, clearer, and less fragmented work. Millions of users, from individuals to enterprises, rely on Notion for their work management. Employees, known as Notinos, embody a commitment to crafting durable solutions that enhance human collaboration in the AI era. The focus goes beyond shipping new features — it’s about establishing new standards for work through innovative AI integration.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Early Career Recruiter passionate about redefining early talent acquisition. This candidate will build and implement innovative recruitment strategies for emerging talent, developing programs and experiences from the ground up. The role encompasses ownership of Notion’s end-to-end early career hiring strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams in Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, and People teams.
This position is based in San Francisco, CA, with required on-site presence on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, the designated 'Anchor Days' for team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute durable, scalable, and unique early career recruiting programs including internships and pipelines for new graduates and candidates with up to two years post-graduation experience.
- Develop innovative talent sourcing methods beyond traditional campus recruitment, utilizing communities, hackathons, open-source platforms, AI-driven sourcing tools, and creative outreach strategies.
- Create inspiring evaluation frameworks that focus on candidates’ thinking processes, learning agility, and creativity rather than solely prior knowledge, challenging standard interview practices.
- Collaborate with communications, design, and people teams to build and communicate a compelling employer brand that positions Notion as a premier career launchpad through various channels and events.
- Coach and empower hiring managers and interviewers to assess early career candidates fairly and rigorously.
Candidate Requirements
- At least two years of recruiting experience, especially involving early career, university, or program-based hiring.
- A creative, builder mindset driven by crafting new recruiting methodologies rather than maintaining existing ones.
- Strong curiosity and ongoing experimentation with sourcing channels, assessment techniques, and candidate engagement models.
- Keen understanding of employer branding and candidate experience, with attention to every interaction shaping trust and perception.
- Ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on execution of hiring programs.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across candidates, hiring teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Data-driven decision-making skills to identify what works and areas for improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or contributing to early career programs from inception.
- Experimentation with unconventional sourcing or evaluation approaches, with insights gained.
- Deep familiarity with early career talent landscapes in engineering and technical roles.
- Personal use and appreciation of Notion’s platform and mission.
Compensation & Benefits
Notion offers competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. For this San Francisco or New York-based role, the annual base salary typically ranges between $135,000 and $151,000, with final compensation dependent on location, role scope, and candidate experience.

Notion values diverse talent and encourages applicants who may not meet every listed criterion to apply. The company is an equal opportunity employer, prohibiting discrimination on any legally protected characteristic. It considers candidates with arrest and conviction records where applicable and offers reasonable accommodations during the application process. Notion is committed to accessibility for individuals with disabilities and protected veterans, encouraging candidates to disclose accommodation needs.
