Team Member - Distribution

About the Role

Join the Papa John's team and contribute with your unique qualities to strengthen our diverse workforce. As a Distribution Team Member, you will play an essential part in ensuring efficient loading, unloading, and management of supplies to deliver better pizzas using better ingredients.

Key Duties

• Efficiently load and unload products from trucks in a timely and accurate way; promptly report any damaged or questionable items to management.
• Conduct loading and receiving activities that adhere strictly to Papa John's Food Safety (PJFS) standards for safety and quality.
• Prepare and complete necessary distribution paperwork daily, including logs and documentation related to damaged or loaded products.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and professionally.
• Carry out regular sanitation tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as scheduled, including cleaning of trailers.
• Communicate effectively with shift leaders about safety concerns, inventory levels, quality issues, and operational challenges.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure correct product selection and loading accuracy.
• Assist customers during Will-Call pickups as required.
• Comply fully with safety, sanitation, and HACCP policies, along with relevant federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA, FDA, and Department of Labor guidelines, plus all Papa John's International policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support operations.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in loading and unloading trucks is advantageous.
• Familiarity with technologically advanced order picking systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding written and verbal instructions in English is mandatory.
• Capability to safely operate forklifts and both manual and electric pallet jacks.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations as required.

Additional Requirements

• Availability for emergency contact when necessary.
• Willingness and ability to work in cold temperature environments for the full duration of shifts.
• Physical capability to regularly lift objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
