Role overview

A leading manufacturing business in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Supply Planner to join its 100% on-site team. This full-time position offers a salary range of $110,000 to $120,000 and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Core responsibilities

You will create and maintain supply plans that align customer demand with inventory targets and production capacity while reducing shortages and excess stock. The role also includes coordinating closely with manufacturing, procurement, and demand planning teams to keep production schedules aligned, address supply issues, and support S&OP work. In addition, you will review planning metrics, maintain ERP planning data, build reporting dashboards, and look for ways to strengthen forecasting, inventory results, and planning workflows.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, along with at least 3 years of experience in supply planning, production planning, inventory planning, or materials planning. You should be comfortable using ERP systems and advanced Excel, understand inventory and production planning fundamentals, and be able to turn data into practical business recommendations. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are also important, especially in a fast-moving manufacturing setting where priorities can change quickly.

Preferred background

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, chemical, consumer products, or distribution environments.
• Exposure to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, or similar tools.
• Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence software.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
