Supply Chain Planner

Overview

The Supply Chain Planner will assist the Manager of Supply Chain Operations and Services with comprehensive planning and oversight of Scriptures and related materials. Responsibilities encompass forecasting demand, managing inventory, coordinating supply plans, aligning procurement, liaising with vendors, supporting logistics, and generating performance reports. This role ensures the global supply chain and logistics operations meet the needs of the Association's worldwide membership. The ideal candidate combines solid analytical skills with practical supply chain execution and collaborates across planning, publishing, procurement, warehousing, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reliable demand forecasts utilizing historical data, annual objectives, and input from USA, National Associations, and International partners.
• Analyze sales, usage data, and inventory to identify trends and inform inventory planning decisions.
• Create supply and replenishment plans that balance inventory targets, lead times, print schedules, warehouse capacity, and ministry priorities.
• Collaborate with Scripture Publishing and Procurement managers to prioritize orders, determine print volumes, and select printers.
• Partner with Inventory Analysts and Operational Managers to optimize Scripture inventory globally, minimizing shortages and excess stock.
• Coordinate with headquarters staff, warehouses, third-party logistics providers, and print partners to align on large-scale distribution efforts.
• Generate and present regular reports on forecasts, inventory status, and plan variances, highlighting risks and opportunities to leadership.
• Continuously improve demand planning processes by adopting best practices and using forecasting tools and software.
• Build relationships and facilitate interdepartmental communication to align demand planning and inventory strategies.
• Identify risks like supply disruptions or capacity constraints early; escalate and recommend contingency plans.
• Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory health, lead times, fill rates, backorders; support standard work and data integrity initiatives.
• Support Global Supply Chain and Logistics with data collection, reporting, tracking inventory, evaluating storage/delivery solutions, and project assistance.
• Contribute to updating systems of record, supporting training, and assisting with supply chain business reviews analyzing service, cost, and capacity.
• Participate in regular team meetings and perform other assigned duties.
• Engage in daily morning devotions by praying and reading Scripture on a rotating basis.

Work Environment & Requirements

• Work primarily in a climate-controlled office with occasional warehouse visits as necessary.
• Standard 8-hour workday with potential for extended hours depending on workload.
• Travel as required to support supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand management, inventory control, procurement coordination, logistics, or related roles, preferably in an international context.
• Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; ability to quickly learn new software.
• Successful completion of drug and background screening.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred.
