Role Overview

The Supply Chain Optimization Specialist is responsible for driving strategic initiatives to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness of the supply chain network. This includes optimizing network design, inventory positioning, warehouse utilization, and facilitating operational improvement projects. The specialist collaborates closely with multiple departments such as Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial teams to analyze data, coordinate projects, develop implementation plans, and support execution to improve service levels, reduce costs, and optimize inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze network opportunities including warehouse consolidation, distribution redesign, inventory repositioning, and transportation improvements.
• Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and plans for strategic supply chain projects.
• Coordinate supply chain transition projects from planning to implementation and stabilization.
• Maintain project timelines, milestones, and status updates while monitoring risks and dependencies.
• Support inventory runout and phase-in/phase-out plans during transitions and migrations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate meetings, reviews, and communicate project status and risks.
• Create and track performance metrics, conduct post-implementation reviews, and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Travel frequently (up to 50%) to manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and project sites to support implementations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, Analytics or related field.
• 5-10 years experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, operations, inventory management, or project coordination.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to convert data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
• Experience managing inventory, supply planning, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing operations.
• Ability to support multiple concurrent projects across various functions.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain network optimization, warehouse operations, and logistics analysis.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments and facility transitions.
• Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, APICS/ASCM, PMP or similar.
• Experience with ERP systems, planning platforms, and business intelligence tools.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this role is $81,500 to $122,300, with final offers based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage, the option to enroll in a 401K Employee Savings Plan, participation in an Employee Wellness Program, and paid time off according to company policy and legal requirements.
