Supply Chain Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee the entire supply chain operations for our UK & Ireland markets. This role involves managing everything from overseas manufacturing to delivering products to customers efficiently. The position is based in Newbury, Berkshire, with regular travel to our third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse, suppliers, and other key business locations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the complete end-to-end supply chain process starting from overseas manufacturing through to the final customer delivery.
• Lead demand planning, inventory control, and forecasting to maximize product availability and minimize stock issues.
• Oversee international logistics, including freight management, customs clearance, and import operations.
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with global suppliers, freight service providers, and outsourced 3PL warehouse operators.
• Track and improve key performance indicators such as On-Time In-Full (OTIF), inventory accuracy, warehouse effectiveness, and customer service levels.
• Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, lowering costs, and supporting business growth.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service teams to deliver outstanding performance during peak seasonal demands.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in supply chain management within sectors such as Outdoor Power Equipment, DIY, Garden Equipment, Consumer Durables, or Industrial Products.
• Experience managing outsourced third-party 3PL logistics providers.
• Strong knowledge and skills in demand planning and inventory management.
• Experienced in international sourcing and logistics, particularly with Far East supply chains.
• Understanding of sea freight processes, customs regulations, and import procedures.
• Proficient with ERP systems and capable of strong data analysis and reporting.
• Commercially savvy and proactive leadership style focused on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
