Overview

The Study Runner role at Makerere University involves retrieving and managing participant charts related to clinical research studies within the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI). This includes obtaining documents from records offices and archives, couriering study-related materials, and supporting operational activities under minimal supervision.

Key Duties

Collaborate closely with the records officer to collect study participant charts from the IDI-Mulago records office.
Assist in accessing archived participant files stored in Ntinda.
Ensure all participant charts are properly returned to their designated storage locations after use.
Aid in the delivery and transportation of study documents such as consent forms and reimbursement papers.
Perform additional reasonable duties as delegated by the Medical Officer or Principal Investigator.

Candidate Profile

Possession of Uganda Certificate of Education.
Prior experience in similar research or clinical trial roles is an advantage.
Strong speed and accuracy in task execution.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Good communication skills to interact with different stakeholders.

Employment Details

Classification: Full-time position based at IDI-Mulago.
Duration: 12 months contract.
Reports directly to the Study Coordinator.
