Position Overview

The Studio Manager role requires a confident, entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a lively and rapidly evolving fitness environment. This position offers the opportunity to shape the culture and community of a growing fitness brand as part of its founding New York City team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily studio operations to guarantee smooth and efficient functionality.
• Lead efforts to increase membership sales, maintain customer retention, and grow monthly revenue.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow a dedicated studio team.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, organization, and overall studio presentation.
• Oversee profit and loss (P&L) management, employing strategies to surpass financial objectives.
• Create an inclusive and elevated member experience, rooted in building community.
• Exemplify professionalism, positive attitude, and accountability in all aspects.
• Develop and execute localized marketing initiatives to attract business.
• Engage with the local community to discover and utilize marketing opportunities.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-achieving teams.
• Experience with membership sales and customer retention in fitness or related sectors.
• Strong operational skills with capacity to prioritize multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Familiarity with P&L management and driving business growth.
• Background in leadership roles within fitness, wellness, or retail industries; multi-unit experience is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence.
• Trustworthy, customer-focused with a passion for uplifting service quality.
• Enthusiastic, principled, and community-oriented personality.
• Keen interest in contributing to a startup-like environment within a fast-expanding brand.
• Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and busy class schedules.

Working Conditions

Studios operate at infrared heated temperatures up to 90°F with moderate to loud ambient noise. The role involves standing, moving, and occasional lifting up to 30 pounds. Work may include indoor or outdoor events, and participation in outdoor marketing requires readiness for varying weather conditions. Physical exertion includes working with yoga props, cleaning equipment, and fast-paced schedules with limited rest between classes.
