Student Life Specialist (Qatarization)

Overview

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is Qatar’s first national applied university. It offers applied bachelor’s and master’s degrees, along with certificates and diplomas across a wide range of disciplines.

Role Summary

This opportunity is for a motivated and energetic professional who will plan, build, launch, and track a variety of student enrichment initiatives, events, and programs. The aim is to create a vibrant campus experience that supports student learning while also contributing to personal and professional growth, in line with UDST’s institutional priorities.

The role calls for someone with strong experience in student engagement and the background needed to thrive as a Student Life Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

You will manage the operational side of student enrichment activities and events, including scheduling, promotions, purchasing, and accurate documentation. You will also prepare and maintain records and data required for student engagement reports.

A major part of the role involves gathering student input, reviewing feedback, and using the findings to measure program impact and improve future activities so that they remain relevant to student life.

You will build and sustain relationships with student clubs to encourage active participation and steady membership.

You will also advise students on all aspects of student life, including how to access UDST services such as career guidance, job opportunity information, and financial aid support.

The position includes maintaining current promotional and informational content for student development activities, with the goal of raising awareness and increasing participation.

You will assist Student Engagement in delivering Student Orientation so that students are informed about enrichment opportunities. In addition, you will support the recruitment of Student Ambassadors and help with their training and development so they can represent UDST effectively.

Another part of the role is to help investigate student conduct matters, coordinate related cases, train and oversee student workers, and monitor compliance with disciplinary sanctions.

You will also contribute to the activities and initiatives of the Student Council to strengthen leadership development and student involvement.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.

Strong written and spoken English is mandatory.

Strong written and spoken Arabic is also required.
