Program Overview
We offer a paid 12-week summer Internship Program that provides hands-on experience in technical and advisory roles, tailored development opportunities, and direct mentorship from experts throughout the firm. Interns engage in meaningful projects and gain practical industry exposure within a supportive environment.
Opportunities and Teams
This internship is available for students currently studying Civil Engineering, with openings across New Zealand including Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. Interns will be placed in teams such as Land & Water or Transport, contributing to projects shaping resilient communities, sustainable infrastructure, and connected transport networks.
Internship Experience
- Contribute to real-world projects and tackle technical challenges.
- Gain insight into water infrastructure, stormwater and flood resilience (Land & Water), or roads, highways, public transport, and active transport networks (Transport).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Asia Pacific region.

Support and Development
The Internship Program is designed to enhance technical skills, foster consulting confidence, and provide perspectives on various career trajectories. Interns receive support from team leaders, assigned buddies, and an early careers team, while engaging in learning sessions focused on professional growth and leadership.

Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering or a related field, preferably in the penultimate year of study.
- Strong interest in either Land & Water issues including sustainable water infrastructure and flood resilience, or in Transport topics such as roads, highways, and public and active transport networks.
- Available to commit to 12 weeks of full-time work starting mid-November 2026 through to February 2027, including a two-week break over the holiday period.
- Curious, communicative, and cooperative, with a proactive attitude toward learning and teamwork.
