Role Overview

The Strategy Director will play a central role in outlining and steering the company's strategic roadmap. This includes leading vital strategic initiatives, and contributing significantly to the organization’s expansion and success. Ideal candidates will bring extensive experience in strategy consulting or related domains, strong leadership, analytical aptitude, and a comprehensive understanding of business strategy and planning.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning and execution efforts across diverse business areas.
  • Conduct thorough market, competitive, and financial analyses to guide decision-making processes.
  • Supervise the Program Management Office (PMO) responsible for driving strategic initiatives, ensuring seamless cross-departmental alignment, and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Oversee strategic projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and achieving desired objectives.
  • Discover and assess new business opportunities that support company growth and expansion.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and competitors, delivering frequent updates to the strategy team.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities affecting the company’s trajectory.
  • Manage performance metrics and OKRs, including framework design, company-wide OKR cycles, business reviews, performance gap analysis, and fostering a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making.
  • Support corporate development and mergers & acquisitions (M&A), including preparing investor materials, engaging with investors and partners, contributing to M&A strategy, conducting due diligence, and maintaining up-to-date pitch decks and data rooms.
  • Facilitate investor relations by serving as a communication conduit between executives and the board, preparing materials for board meetings, coordinating logistics, implementing board directives, enhancing shareholder value, and addressing shareholder inquiries transparently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, preferably within technology or telecommunications sectors.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of synthesizing complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective in building relationships and influencing various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with M&A activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, and strategic planning.

Preferred Assets

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or equivalent.
  • Exposure to global consumer technology enterprises.
  • Proven leadership prowess in managing and mentoring high-performing teams.

Location and Contract Details

  • Position is fully remote, open to candidates based in Spain, the United Kingdom, or the United Arab Emirates.
  • Employment contracts vary by country: permanent full-time via local employment or employer of record arrangements.
  • Primary working language is English for both synchronous and asynchronous communication.

Compensation

The annual salary range is approximately £100,500 to £136,500 in the UK and €89,000 to €120,000 in Spain, with exact offers reflecting the candidate's location to ensure equitable compensation.
