Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Storekeeper will oversee daily warehouse operations related to frozen materials, ensuring all tasks comply with food safety and industry standards. Key duties include receiving and verifying goods, maintaining storage conditions, and managing inventory control using systems such as Oracle and WMS applications.

• Receive frozen products, confirm quantity, quality, and validate all documents.
• Maintain products at designated temperatures, typically at -18°C or as specified.
• Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methods to organize stock.
• Properly label, stack, and arrange frozen items within cold storage.
• Update inventory records accurately in Oracle and Warehouse Management System applications.
• Supervise warehouse operators, machine operators, and helpers to ensure efficient warehousing operations.
• Prepare and coordinate documentation with the finance team for supplier payments.
• Maintain meticulous stock records either manually or through systems.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Perform daily inventory reconciliation striving for 100% accuracy.
• Monitor stock levels and promptly report any shortages or damages.
• Keep track of product expiry dates to prevent spoilage.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation to facilitate audits smoothly.
• Prepare materials for dispatch while preserving the cold chain integrity.
• Ensure all issued items have proper documentation.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control department to oversee sampling of materials ensuring standards compliance.
• Regularly monitor and log temperature data; immediately report any deviations or equipment failures.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
• Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain cleanliness within freezer and storage zones.
• Implement 5S methodology across warehouse areas.
• Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
• Comply with all applicable governmental regulations related to warehousing and food safety.
