Role Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Stock Unloader Associate offers a solid opportunity to gain hands-on experience in retail operations. This role involves supporting the unloading of trailers, sorting merchandise, transferring pallets onto the salesfloor, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and reset the Receiving Area for incoming shipments.
- Unload and arrange merchandise from general trailers efficiently.
- Conduct live unloading of all remaining deliveries.
- Maintain proper cold chain protocols for refrigerated and frozen goods during receiving and stocking.
- Transport pallets of merchandise to the salesfloor for overnight processing.
- Assist in stocking the store floor as assigned while attending to customer service needs.
- Label and store overstock merchandise appropriately.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment by following company policies and procedures, including completing safety sweep logs and securing displays and fixtures.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.15.
