Stock Control Officer

Role overview

Ernest Chemists is hiring a practical, hands-on Wholesale Stock Control Officer for its pharmaceutical operations in Ghana. The position is available at one of these locations: Odorkor, Dzorwulu, Spintex, or East Legon.

Key responsibilities

• Release items based on the invoice or delivery record, while following the First Expired, First Out (FEFO) method.
• Verify every product issued against the invoice before it leaves for delivery.
• Monitor shelf stock closely so items are sold before expiry.
• Separate expired stock and label it clearly to avoid accidental sale.
• Take part in the weekly request process for low-stock wholesale items.
• Help avoid both excess inventory and stock shortages.
• Keep a close watch on stock quantities so supply stays aligned with customer demand.
• Work with the supervisor to keep stock information updated in the computer system at all times.
• Carry out spot checks and stock audits to identify and correct inventory differences.
• Support customers during product purchases.
• Prepare stock reports and submit them as required.

Requirements

• HND in Purchasing and Supply, Procurement, or a closely related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Applicants must live in Odorkor, Dzorwulu, Spintex, or East Legon.
