Overview
Amazon invites proactive leaders to join as Shift Area Manager Juniors within its dynamic logistics operations. This role entails overseeing a significant and diverse team to ensure seamless daily operations that meet fluctuating demand. Through hands-on leadership, you will gain insight into complex global business operations and contribute directly to maintaining Amazon’s high standards for customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a safe and healthy workplace culture.

- Identify process improvements to optimize efficiency and enhance customer service delivery.

- Work collaboratively with fellow managers to standardize operational procedures across shifts.
Daily Routine
Your role includes shift-based work onsite at an operational Amazon facility. Prioritizing safety standards and process efficiency will be central to your daily activities. Tasks will range from routine team oversight and operational duties to managing escalations, spearheading process improvements, and contingency planning.
Team Environment
You will be part of the Amazon Logistics (AMZL) team, specializing in last-mile delivery alongside third-party partners. The team focuses on innovative approaches and continuous improvements to ensure timely delivery of millions of products while expanding services such as Amazon Fresh and Prime Now. The environment is people-centric, often operating over 24/7 shifts.

Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma.
- Ability to work flexible, rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, totaling approximately 40 hours per week with additional overtime as needed.
- Physical capability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk for shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently perform pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching movements.
- Proven customer service aptitude along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least one year of leadership experience within retail, distribution, or a related setting.
- Minimum one year of experience managing direct reports.
Preferred Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
