Role Overview
The Client Services team is dedicated to efficiently managing daily operations and maintenance of both leased and owned facilities. The main goal is to provide a clean, safe working environment that protects and enhances the value of the company's physical assets. This role centers on food and beverage operations within onsite cafés and service areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Client Services Manager with core responsibilities focusing on food and beverage functions across company cafés.
- Act as the liaison between internal departments and external food service vendors, including Starbucks, to facilitate smooth daily operations, manage administrative tasks, and coordinate kitchen maintenance and repairs.
- Oversee subsidy reviews, manage budgets, and perform financial forecasting related to food and beverage services.
- Maintain an active presence onsite to supervise café operations such as Hyperion Café and Starbucks, managing customer flow, queues, seating, and cleanliness to enrich employee experience.
- Serve as the main contact for food and beverage vendors ensuring adherence to service standards, operational goals, and company policies.
- Regularly evaluate vendor performance covering areas like food quality, presentation, service, health and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with vendors to optimize menu offerings influenced by employee feedback, dietary needs, and seasonal trends.
- Promptly address and resolve any employee or client concerns regarding café services.
- Monitor and report quantitative café operational metrics, identify trends, and propose improvements.
- Champion sustainability and compliance efforts in food and beverage operations by collecting necessary data and coordinating with partners to ensure accurate reporting and adherence.
- Work alongside third-party vendors for operational support, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage Tenant Services related to the workplace cafés, such as coffee and water service operations, equipment maintenance tracking, and ensuring proper signage and communications.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Operations, or related field; alternatively, at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting food and beverage operations or workplace hospitality services.
- Proven experience in budget tracking, subsidy reporting, and financial oversight.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation standards governing food service environments.
- Certification in food safety, handling, and quality management such as HACCP or ServSafe.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position in New York spans from $75,500 to $101,200 annually. The offered base salary is influenced by internal salary equity, geographic location, relevant expertise, and experience. Additionally, the compensation package may include bonuses or long-term incentive awards, alongside full medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the role's level and requirements.
