About the Role
At Snowflake, we are transforming how enterprises operate through the AI Data Cloud, empowering AI-native professionals who approach challenges with curiosity and an experimental mindset. As a Solution Engineer based in South Africa, you will collaborate closely with sales teams and channel partners to address complex customer problems, support sales cycles, deliver impactful presentations and demos, manage proofs of concept, and contribute to closing major deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Showcase Snowflake's technology and AI Data Cloud vision to both executive and technical stakeholders at prospective and current customer organizations.
- Work directly with customers to demonstrate Snowflake’s capabilities across the sales process, from demonstrations to proof of concept, through to design and implementation.
- Stay well-informed on industry trends, competitive technologies, and market positioning to effectively relate Snowflake's offerings in context.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to provide feedback for product improvements and enhance marketing strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Between 3 to 8 years of experience in a pre-sales role within the technology industry.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the capability to engage diverse audiences ranging from technical teams to senior executives.
- Proficient understanding and hands-on experience with value-based selling methodologies such as MEDDPIC/MEDDIC to handle complex sales.
- Comprehensive knowledge of data platforms, analytics, and cloud technologies, including expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, and lake house architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate and showcase the benefits of Generative AI and Machine Learning applications within enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with fundamental data concepts including data modeling, governance, and best practices in data engineering.
- Strong hands-on skills with Python and SQL programming languages.
- A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience working in the UAE market and preferably residing there.
- Arabic language proficiency is an advantageous skill.
