Solar Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

This position involves maintaining and ensuring smooth operation of solar power systems by performing a range of preventive and corrective maintenance activities, system monitoring, electrical testing, and enforcing safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance tasks including cleaning solar modules, verifying torque tightness, performing thermal imaging to identify hotspots, and inspecting junction boxes and connectors for integrity.
• Diagnose and remediate system faults promptly; respond to breakdown alerts and safely replace faulty photovoltaic modules, inverters, and balance of system components.
• Monitor solar power generation through SCADA systems, maintain daily performance logs, and identify/report any efficiency abnormalities.
• Conduct electrical assessments such as continuity tests, earth resistance measurements, and string-level diagnostics utilizing tools like multimeters, clamp meters, and megohmmeters.
• Apply strict electrical safety procedures including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), enforce use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and comply with safety regulations for working at heights.

Compensation

The role offers a monthly salary ranging between 20,000 and 25,000 INR.
