Overview
Join YouTube as a Software Engineer III specializing in front-end development. This role involves creating innovative technologies that empower billions worldwide to connect and share content. As part of Google, you will contribute to large-scale systems and impactful projects across various technical domains including UI design and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop code for products or systems ensuring high quality and functionality.
- Lead or participate actively in design reviews to evaluate and select appropriate technologies.
- Inspect and critique peer code to uphold standards such as style, accuracy, testing, and efficiency.
- Maintain and update documentation and educational materials reflecting product changes and feedback.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve system or product issues by analyzing their causes and effects on infrastructure and service quality.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years' experience in software development across one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
- A minimum of 2 years dedicated to front-end and UI development.
- Preferred candidates hold a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical area.
- Experience with data structures and algorithms over at least 2 years.
- Background in developing accessible technologies is advantageous.
