Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the civil and building works for a new 110kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation project in Central Dublin. The candidate will manage all phases of construction including the portal building, ensuring that safety, quality, and schedule standards are maintained throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations for the civil and building scope.
- Coordinate the activities of subcontractors, direct labor, and site resources effectively.
- Manage construction tasks including reinforced concrete, steel structural framing, cladding, internal fit-outs, drainage systems, external works, and landscaping.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely, on schedule, and according to specified quality standards.
- Maintain active communication with clients, design teams, and other project stakeholders.
- Keep accurate site documentation and project reports.
- Implement quality control procedures and uphold Health & Safety compliance.
- Organize site logistics, including delivery and activity coordination.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience managing large civil engineering or building projects as a Site Manager.
- Strong expertise in delivering projects from groundworks and foundation stages through to project completion.
- Desirable experience in handling structural steel frame and cladding installation.
- In-depth knowledge of reinforced concrete construction and external site works.
- Demonstrated leadership and excellent communication abilities.
- Capable of managing subcontractors and meeting scheduling milestones.
- Hold a valid Safe Pass and relevant site management certifications.
- Experience with utility, energy, or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
