Job Overview
This role involves overseeing site execution activities related to high-voltage power transmission lines, including those rated at 400kV and 765kV. The candidate will be responsible for managing contractors, conducting route surveys, supervising foundation casting, tower erection, and stringing operations, ensuring quality control and compliance with safety standards. Additionally, tasks include reviewing Running Account (RA) bills and regular progress reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise zone-wise execution of high-voltage power line construction projects.
- Manage and oversee contractor activities to ensure timely and quality completion.
- Conduct route surveys and monitor foundation casting processes.
- Oversee tower erection and stringing operations on transmission lines.
- Handle Right of Way (ROW) related challenges effectively.
- Maintain stringent quality control and ensure adherence to safety protocols on-site.
- Review and verify Running Account (RA) bills for accuracy.
- Prepare and submit progress reports as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of power transmission line construction processes, especially at 400kV and 765kV voltage levels.
- Experience in contractor management and site supervision.
- Proficiency in quality assurance and quality control procedures for infrastructure projects.
- Ability to address Right of Way (ROW) related issues effectively.
- Familiarity with RA bill preparation and review.
