Role Summary
The Shift Supervisor role is a full-time on-site position based in Jiddah. This role entails managing daily restaurant operations throughout assigned shifts, including coordinating team members and maintaining high standards of food and service quality to ensure an excellent guest experience. The supervisor is responsible for monitoring stock and inventory, handling cash management processes, and enforcing health, safety, and corporate policies. Additional duties involve coaching staff, handling customer feedback professionally, assisting with scheduling and shift transitions, and supporting management’s operational goals. This position plays a vital role in promoting efficient restaurant functioning and meeting sales and performance objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working in restaurant or retail settings, especially within quick-service or casual dining sectors.
- Strong leadership skills including staff coaching, delegation, and managing conflicts effectively.
- Excellent customer service aptitude with the ability to address guest concerns diplomatically.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management, cash handling, and POS systems.
- Awareness of food safety, hygiene standards, and occupational health and safety legislation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a fast-paced and culturally diverse workspace.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role and familiarity with international foodservice brands is a plus.
- Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in hospitality or business are advantageous.
