Senior Vice President of Engineering - Production & Autonomous Operations

Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished leader to serve as Senior Vice President of Production Engineering and Autonomous Operations, responsible for advancing an AI-driven system that autonomously manages incident detection, remediation, and operational reliability for a global SaaS platform serving leading brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Own overall production system health, customer reliability, and the AI-powered operational layer.
• Directly engage with the CEO and represent operational leadership during critical client incidents.
• Lead a compact, globally distributed team of senior engineers; all members contribute hands-on to agent development, incident management, and operational improvements.
• Continuously enhance autonomous agents managing pre-triage, alerting, change controls, auto-healing, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain active technical involvement including writing and deploying agent code and incident leadership.
• Recruit and retain elite engineers, focusing on quality over quantity of hires.

Desired Qualifications and Expertise

• Over 10 years of experience in production engineering, site reliability engineering, or SaaS operations with significant scale; at least 3 years in a senior executive role overseeing senior-only engineering teams.
• Proven track record designing and managing AI-first incident response and remediation systems using agentic development environments like Claude Code or Cursor.
• Extensive operational expertise with AWS infrastructure (multi-AZ, multi-account) complemented by hands-on experience resolving real outages.
• Excellent executive communication skills with fluency in English and experience interfacing with CEOs and enterprise clients.
• Availability overlapping US morning hours (roughly 13:00–17:00 UTC) and residence in OFAC-permitted countries.

• Background in multi-tenant B2B SaaS sectors such as community platforms, observability tools, or customer engagement software.
• Familiarity with modern observability and incident management tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Datadog, PagerDuty, or OpsGenie.
• Personal passion projects or open-source endeavors reflecting innovative problem-solving independently.
