About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager at Bosch Building Technologies North America in Vancouver, you will coordinate across internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to scope, plan, and execute complex projects using cutting-edge technologies. You will be responsible for managing these projects end-to-end, ensuring high-quality delivery while embodying the company values of leadership, team and client focus, and people development. Experience overseeing large-scale, multimillion-dollar projects is highly valued for this position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and business-like conduct and appearance to enhance client satisfaction.
- Stay current with industry standards, new technologies, and company offerings.
- Work flexible hours as needed, including outside normal business times.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures with attention to personal and team safety.
- Protect and manage assigned company assets responsibly.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of comprehensive project documentation.
- Prepare proposals, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and assist bid submissions highlighting company advantages and ensuring goals for gross profit margin and operations are met.
- Develop proactive strategies for follow-ups and proposal generation for prospects.
- Complete sales orders, scopes, plans, and required project documentation according to company standards and contract terms.
- Promote equipment upgrades, replacement projects, and company promotions to existing clients.
- Identify client security needs and effectively position company services and products accordingly.
- Assist in selling service contracts and renewals for system upgrades to existing customers.
- Present final contracts for client approval ensuring all financial and project details are accurate.
- Maintain ongoing client relationships to assess satisfaction, support future needs, generate referrals, and assist with overdue payments.
- Plan and schedule engineering, installation, and subcontractor activities, managing installation plans and procurement for on-time delivery.
- Manage construction schedules, coordinate with other trades, and implement necessary changes to design or contracts.
- Oversee quality and performance of staff and contracted labor.
- Communicate project progress effectively to stakeholders, escalating issues as needed while keeping detailed records.
- Perform regular site visits to ensure quality of installation.
- Implement continuous quality assurance programs to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Develop strong relationships with decision-makers at client organizations.
- Manage job cost control, invoice preparation, time tracking, and ensure complete project billing and closeout reporting.
- Supervise and manage team performance including coaching, appraisals, and conflict resolution according to company policies and labor laws.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years’ experience in the low voltage industry.
- Minimum 6 years in project management, security integration, or field experience.
- Proven track record managing large general contracting projects such as government, healthcare, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of security systems including Genetec, Avigilon, LenelS2, Milestone, Kantech, Bosch, DMP, and AMAG.
- Familiarity with cabling products such as Belden, CommScope, Panduit, and Corning.
- Strong understanding of audio-visual systems like Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Crown, and similar technologies.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, plus interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Capable of working independently with effective time and deadline management.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment background and drug screenings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- PMI certification.
- Additional certifications such as AVIXA or BICSI.

Physical Requirements
- Clear communication in English through speaking, hearing, writing, and reading.
- Manual dexterity for handling office equipment and occasional lifting of light items.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk in office and construction site environments.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds and working at heights above 6 feet.
Working Environment
- Clean, well-lit, and ventilated office settings with low to moderate noise levels.
- Jobsite presence required across various customer environments including new construction.
- Travel by driving to customer sites with limited overnight travel.
Compensation
Annual salary ranges from $150,000 to $175,000 depending on experience.
