Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Privacy Operations Analyst based in Bengaluru to play a key role in supporting the execution of our worldwide privacy program. This position involves close collaboration with various teams such as Privacy Operations Management, GRC, Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, and Business units to ensure smooth and accurate handling of privacy assessments, records, and workflows.
The role focuses on operational tasks like managing privacy workflows, updating our TrustArc privacy management platform, following up with stakeholders, and helping ensure privacy reviews for new products, technologies, vendors, and AI initiatives are completed correctly. Legal advice and privacy policy setting are outside this role’s responsibilities and referred to Legal or the DPO.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the intake, coordination, tracking, and completion of privacy assessments and follow-up actions.
- Maintain and update business process documents, records of processing activities, system and vendor inventories, and other privacy-related records within TrustArc.
- Review privacy documentation for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and duplicates, collaborating with stakeholders to address any gaps or outdated information.
- Monitor ongoing tasks, assessment deadlines, approvals, revalidations, and remediation work, escalating issues when necessary.
- Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, and business teams to gather necessary information and progress privacy workflows.
- Support privacy review processes related to new products, vendors, technology updates, data usage, and AI-related projects.
- Maintain detailed documentation, process evidence, dashboards, and operational reports supporting the privacy program.
- Identify and suggest improvements to simplify, standardize, or automate recurring privacy operation processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in privacy, compliance, GRC, legal operations, data governance, or related technology/business roles.
- Proven skill in managing structured workflows, assessments, reviews, or compliance activities involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational ability and attention to detail with capacity to handle several tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Accuracy in record keeping and skill in identifying inconsistencies or outdated information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining process requirements clearly to non-privacy personnel.
- Self-motivated to work independently on assigned tasks while knowing when to escalate.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or comparable professional experience.
Preferred Attributes
- Familiarity with privacy or GRC management platforms such as TrustArc or OneTrust.
- Knowledge of privacy assessment concepts, records of processing activities, vendor inventories, and data mapping.
- Understanding of major privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
- Experience within B2B SaaS, HR technology, or other data-driven technology environments.
- Awareness of product development, vendor onboarding, security compliance, or AI risk assessment processes.
- Certification or interest in certifications like CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or CIPM.
