Position Overview
The Senior Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and managing transportation, distribution, and overall supply chain activities to ensure products are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in full compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This individual strategizes logistics approaches, oversees external partnerships, and champions ongoing enhancements across multiple sites.
Key Duties
- Formulate and implement logistics strategies aimed at enhancing service levels, operational efficiency, and cost control.
- Supervise transportation, warehouse operations, and distribution processes including international and cross-border shipments.
- Maintain and develop robust partnerships with carriers, third-party logistics providers, brokers, and other vendors.
- Promote process improvements through detailed data analysis, monitoring key performance indicators, and applying advanced technologies.
- Ensure adherence to transportation, customs, and international trade requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team, fostering a culture of responsibility and continuous advancement.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align logistics operations with organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles, including leadership positions.
- Demonstrated expertise managing transportation, warehousing, and third-party logistics service providers.
- Comprehensive understanding of domestic and global freight operations.
- Experience in contract negotiation, vendor oversight, and cost optimization strategies.
- Proficiency in using ERP, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and generating performance reports.
- Strong analytical abilities paired with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish considered advantageous.
