Job Purpose
The role requires delivering superior fire protection inspection and compliance services, ensuring fire and life safety systems meet all required codes, standards, and project specifications. Supporting project success involves site inspections, reporting, and effective coordination with clients, contractors, and authorities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification related to fire and life safety systems.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in fire protection inspection, testing, commissioning, or site supervision.
- Preferred certifications: NFPA, CFPS, IFE, Civil Defence approval, or similar credentials.
- Comprehensive understanding of international fire codes and standards including NFPA, IBC, BS, UAE Fire Code.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough site inspections of fire protection and life safety systems ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Oversee and witness testing and commissioning operations, verifying system performance and completeness of documentation.
- Detect any non-compliance issues, prepare inspection reports, and ensure corrective action implementation.
- Liaise effectively with contractors, consultants, and clients to resolve site-specific fire protection concerns.
- Participate in inspections with Civil Defence and relevant regulatory authorities as needed.
- Compile comprehensive inspection reports, snag lists, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure all tasks comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and internal management systems.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to ongoing knowledge sharing and process improvements.
- Provide technical support for proposals and contribute to business development endeavors when required.
