Senior Electrical Sourcing Engineer

Role Overview

This position involves leading the procurement of electrical components including switchgear such as MCBs, MCCBs, relays, and contactors, along with cable harnesses, wiring assemblies, connectors, terminals, and other related electrical parts. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and onboarding both domestic and international suppliers, driving cost optimization projects, and aligning supplier strategies with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing activities for various electrical components and assemblies.
• Evaluate and incorporate new suppliers worldwide to enhance supply options.
• Lead initiatives in cost reduction through negotiations, value engineering, and alternate sourcing methods.
• Formulate and execute supplier strategies consistent with business goals.
• Ensure that suppliers meet quality, delivery, and technical standards.
• Work closely with design and R&D teams during new product development phases.
• Coordinate with quality assurance for supplier audits and resolving any related issues.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production readiness.
• Conduct both technical and commercial negotiations effectively with suppliers.
• Continuously monitor supplier performance focusing on quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
• Handle requests for quotations, perform cost analysis, and execute benchmarking exercises.
• Contribute to localization strategies and efforts to reduce supply chain risks.
