Senior Dispatcher

About the Role

Artohlam Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Dispatcher to lead and enhance its growing cross-border operations between Canada and the United States. This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about transportation logistics, thrives in dynamic environments, and excels at optimizing freight capacity while delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily freight dispatch activities across the Canada-USA border.
• Coordinate schedules and dispatch services for company drivers, owner operators, and partner carriers.
• Identify and secure profitable loads through open market sources to maximize freight opportunities.
• Utilize Loadlink and other load boards to find backhaul freight to enhance fleet usage.
• Create and implement efficient routing plans ensuring adherence to Hours of Service regulations, customs, and border policies.
• Maintain proactive communication with drivers, customers, brokers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations.
• Promptly address and resolve service challenges while upholding high customer service standards.
• Track shipments from origin to delivery, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 5 years dispatch experience, preferably in cross-border transportation environments.
• Deep understanding of cross-border freight operations between Canada and the U.S.
• Proficient use of Loadlink and expertise in sourcing freight from open markets.
• Knowledgeable in customs documentation, ACE/ACI systems, and cross-border compliance.
• Strong negotiation capabilities and relationship-building skills with brokers and clients.
• Excellent multitasking ability in a fast-paced, volume-heavy setting.
• Advanced communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with transportation management technologies such as Rose Rocket and Samsara are advantageous.
