Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

Aratt Developers Pvt. Ltd., a well-established real estate firm in Bengaluru, is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience to lead and manage residential high-rise construction projects. The role demands comprehensive expertise in civil construction, site supervision, quality assurance, contractor oversight, and coordination to ensure timely and quality project delivery within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise civil construction tasks in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and timelines.
• Manage activities involving RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, finishing, and external development works efficiently.
• Oversee daily site operations to guarantee on-schedule completion.
• Collaborate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and contractors for smooth project progression.
• Comply with approved construction methodologies and standards at all times.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, tracking milestones and addressing delays through corrective measures.
• Maintain thorough site documentation and accurate work progress records.
• Ensure all activities meet quality benchmarks through regular inspections, audits, and material testing coordination.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during project execution.
• Verify contractor measurements and certify running account bills; monitor material reconciliation and assist in financial reporting.
• Plan and oversee material procurement and optimal resource utilization, minimizing wastage.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety policies, conducting site safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Ensure environmental and quality compliance on site.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams; participate in project review meetings and provide updates.
• Address site execution issues collaboratively with project management and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Technical Competencies

• Deep understanding of RCC, finishing works, and high-rise building construction
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
• Experience managing contractors and subcontractors effectively
• Knowledgeable about construction sequencing, project planning, and scheduling
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Competent in managing multiple simultaneous work fronts to meet deadlines
• Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, MS Project
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 and ERP/SAP systems is preferred

Educational and Experience Qualifications

• B.E. or B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory; diploma holders with relevant experience may be considered
• 7 to 10 years' experience specifically in residential real estate, particularly in high-rise projects
• Proven track record managing projects from excavation through finishing and handover stages
