Overview
Das Holding LLC is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, treasury operations, cost accounting, and statutory compliance within a manufacturing setting. The role demands ensuring accurate financial documentation and strong internal financial controls to support the business unit's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger with precise recording of all financial transactions.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures efficiently.
- Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and general ledger balances.
- Provide management reports and financial analyses for senior leadership.
- Track inventory levels across raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Ensure correct inventory valuation and perform stock reconciliations.
- Evaluate manufacturing costs, wastage rates, recovery yields, and discrepancies.
- Manage supplier payments and oversee accounts payable workflows.
- Monitor customer receivables, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue amounts.
- Review payment schedules alongside cash flow forecasting.
- Process invoices, credit notes, and collections promptly.
- Control departmental spending relative to approved budgets.
- Analyze budget variances and suggest cost-saving measures.
- Assist management with strategic financial planning and decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to UAE VAT requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Coordinate and support external audit activities annually.
- Oversee daily cash positions and banking transactions.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and estimate funding needs.
- Handle bank reconciliations and maintain banking relations.
- Support treasury functions including payment approvals.
- Maintain segregation of duties and ensure compliance with internal approval policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a closely related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or their equivalents are favorable.
- At least 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Prior exposure to manufacturing, industrial sectors, precious stones, or production-based environments is strongly preferred.
