Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the self-checkout zone in a tidy, orderly, and safe condition, free from clutter, debris, and any foreign materials including liquids.
• Guide customers on how to use self-service technology correctly and efficiently when needed.
• Promote company-sponsored programs like credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable campaigns when appropriate.
• Monitor customer activity to identify when they require help and intervene accordingly.
• Politely explain the need for self-service interventions and quality checks during the checkout process, reassuring customers that these procedures are standard practice.
• Respond knowledgeably to electronic article surveillance (EAS) alarms and appropriately document instances in the "Failure to Deactivate" Log.
• Notify the Customer Service Manager promptly if the self-service area is low on cash or if there are technical issues.
• Ensure Scan & Go devices are returned to their designated stations after use.

Additional Information

• The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.90.
• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
