Role Overview

The Security Operator is a vital role focused on surveillance, access control, and on-site security coverage when needed. This position ensures the safety of individuals and property by monitoring security systems, responding to alerts, and maintaining a secured environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold Pinkerton’s core values including integrity, vigilance, and excellence in all operations.
• Continuously observe CCTV footage to identify suspicious or irregular behavior and maintain operational functionality of all video equipment.
• Promptly report incidents detected via CCTV to the Security Manager.
• Manage and monitor alarm systems, respond quickly to alarm activations, and coordinate with emergency or law enforcement agencies when required.
• Perform routine testing of alarm systems to verify proper operation.
• Administer issuance and control of access badges for employees and visitors, ensuring that expired or revoked badges are disabled and log audits are conducted for compliance.
• Provide backup support for physical security personnel as necessary.
• Conduct patrols of premises to detect and prevent unauthorized entry, ensuring the security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Escort and supervise visitors and contractors according to security protocols.
• Document and report any security breaches, incidents, or anomalies accurately to the Security Team Lead.
• Prepare comprehensive incident reports for managerial review.
• Fulfill any additional duties assigned related to security operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar security operator role.
• Solid understanding of security procedures and protocol.
• Experience handling electronic security systems including CCTV and alarm technologies.
• Strong observational skills combined with effective problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Capacity to manage sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
• Physical fitness adequate for patrolling and other security duties.
• Certifications in security operations or law enforcement are advantageous.

Working Conditions

• This role requires the ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
