Job Overview

We seek a dependable School Custodian to carry out routine cleaning tasks in various areas on K-12 school, college, or university campuses. This role includes maintaining classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other designated spaces.

Key Duties

• Clean and maintain assigned spaces including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
• Sweep and mop floors; remove debris and clean spills in specified areas.
• Regularly empty trash bins and manage waste properly.
• Utilize chemical cleaners and power equipment according to safety protocols to protect surfaces and fixtures.
• Report to lead or manager about necessary repairs or additions to building systems.
• Foster effective communication and working relationships with colleagues, clients, and supervisors.
• Collect and sort recyclables into appropriate containers.
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
• Polish hard surfaces such as woodwork and stainless steel.
• Clean and sanitize food service areas including tabletops, chairs, and equipment.
• Relocate furniture and equipment using manual effort or hand trucks to facilitate cleaning.
• Clean interior glass surfaces including windows, partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaning tools.
• Perform seasonal outdoor tasks like sweeping walkways, raking leaves, mowing grass, or snow removal.
• Maintain restroom cleanliness, including cleaning and polishing fixtures.
• Adhere strictly to all safety, security, and quality guidelines established by the company, clients, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• No previous experience mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
• No educational qualifications required; high school diploma or equivalent not necessary.
• Preferred candidates may have prior customer service experience.
• Previous experience of one year in similar custodial roles is advantageous but not required.
