About the Role
We seek a meticulous Sanctions Analyst to join our Cork headquarters, focusing on assessing large volumes of sanctions alerts. This role involves evaluating transaction monitoring alerts to filter false positives efficiently and escalate potential true matches, supporting regulatory compliance and safeguarding our platform.
Work Schedule and Compensation
This is a permanent full-time position based onsite with working hours from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Weekend shifts and additional shifts may be added in the future. The salary is €33,000 gross annually, supplemented by a monthly performance bonus of up to €150.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage high volumes of sanctions and transaction monitoring alerts, promptly identifying false positives and escalating genuine matches for further review.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in closing alerts, adhering to quality standards.
- Consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and decision-making frameworks, escalating complex cases appropriately.
- Maintain detailed, auditable records of decisions in compliance with job aids and quality control requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Self-driven individual able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-risk production environment.
- Responsible for accuracy while upholding rigorous quality control standards.
- Understanding of payment products such as ACH, international wires, and SWIFT.
- Familiarity with sanctions programs including OFAC, EU/UN sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Adverse Media, and other AML watchlists.
- Experience with LexisNexis Bridger and Firco Continuity is advantageous.
- Able to handle large workloads efficiently while maintaining strong quality assurance.
