Sales Promoter

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Sales Promoter to join Enza Zaden's sales team in Uganda. This position focuses on generating demand, raising product awareness, and engaging directly with farmers at the grassroots level. You'll play a vital role facilitating access to high-quality vegetable seeds and helping farmers enhance productivity through hands-on promotion.

Key Responsibilities

• Create awareness of our vegetable seed products across villages, markets, agro-dealer shops, and community gatherings.
• Interact with farmers by conducting basic engagement activities and supporting demonstration plots to showcase product benefits and performance.
• Ensure that products are visible in relevant sales regions by distributing promotional materials effectively.
• Collect straightforward market information and submit weekly activity reports in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Sales Representatives by assisting with grassroots activations, farmer follow-up, and local promotional events.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Completion of secondary education is required; possession of an agriculture or sales diploma is beneficial.
• Comfortable working within rural communities and directly engaging with farmers.
• Effective communication in local languages is essential; English proficiency is an advantage.
• Possession of valid motorbike riding skills and license where applicable.
• Energetic, dependable, self-driven, and able to adhere to structured work plans.
• Genuine enthusiasm for agriculture, community involvement, and relationship building.
• Readiness to travel daily within rural sales areas and to assist with activities during weekends or peak season events as needed.
