Role Overview
As a Sales Development Representative, you will spearhead our growth efforts by identifying Australian and New Zealand service businesses that are losing revenue due to missed communications and demonstrating how Chirp AI resolves these issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting using cold calls, emails, and networking to schedule qualified meetings.
- Create and manage lead generation strategies, including prospecting lists, outreach sequences, automations, and CRM maintenance.
- Participate in demos and sales discussions early on to learn the sales process before independently managing deals.
- Provide market feedback to refine our positioning, pricing, and pitch strategies.
- Collaborate closely with company founders on pricing, proposals, and delivery aspects.
- Optionally contribute to growth, marketing initiatives, and brand development, which is welcomed and rewarded.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates are early in their career, enthusiastic about phone-based outreach, and resilient in the face of rejection. They are organized, curious about AI and business operations, proactive, resourceful, and eager to contribute to a small but ambitious team.
- Must be confident and willing to cold call, with proof of capability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage outreach sequences, maintain CRM cleanliness, and ensure persistent follow-up.
- Genuine interest in artificial intelligence and business processes.
- Resilience, motivation, and openness to coaching, with training provided by founders.
- Bonus: prior experience in persuasive roles across sectors such as SaaS, retail, hospitality, or door-to-door sales.
- Preference for candidates based in Melbourne with potential on-site days; exceptional candidates from elsewhere in Australia considered for remote work.
