Role Overview

This role in Sales helps potential and existing customers fully leverage Remote's Global HR Platform. The Sales team handles incoming queries, assisting customers to understand and maximize the product suite for their employment requirements. Joining us as an Outbound Sales Development Representative allows you to contribute meaningfully to global employment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with and qualify outbound leads and inquiries promptly.
  • Identify new sales prospects and initiate contact to arrange appointments for Account Executives.
  • Communicate Remote’s value clearly while assessing the suitability of prospects' needs.
  • Support the Account Executive team as required.
  • Educate and nurture prospects to prepare them for handoff to sales teams.
  • Create targeted prospect lists and penetrate key accounts.
  • Conduct cold calls to prospects generated through various external sources.
  • Research key decision-makers, gather business requirements, and present solutions to initiate the sales cycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven success in business development using core sales tools (experience with Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Chorus is advantageous).
  • Previous work experience as an SDR within B2B SaaS technology companies.
  • Strong negotiation abilities and persuasive sales communication.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills combined with active listening and an enthusiastic telephone presence.
  • Strategic and tactical thinking capabilities, maintaining positivity amid criticism or setbacks.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, with a diligent work ethic and innovative mindset.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to effectively utilize automation and AI tools; familiarity with remote work is a plus.

Work Environment and Reporting

You will be reporting to the Manager of Outbound Sales Development and joining the Sales team. This position is based in Australia/New Zealand and is fully remote. The start date is immediate.

Compensation and Benefits

We uphold a compensation philosophy focused on fairness and equity, ensuring remuneration above local rates globally. The on-target earning range is between USD 61,000 and USD 72,000, with the base salary comprising 70%. Actual pay depends on location, skills, experience, training, business requirements, and market conditions, and may change.
