Role Overview
The Road Technical Office Engineer will take charge of coordinating the technical office operations relevant to road and infrastructure projects. The engineer ensures that all technical documents and deliverables are consistent with project specifications, contractual conditions, and relevant standards. Serving as a bridge among various project stakeholders, this role supports procurement, construction activities, and facilitates technical solutions to guarantee successful project implementation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze and coordinate IFC drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, and engineering submissions.
- Draft and assess RFIs, material submittals, method statements, and technical reporting documents.
- Collaborate closely with consultants, clients, procurement teams, QA/QC, planning, and on-site construction teams to resolve technical challenges and secure necessary approvals.
- Assist procurement processes by evaluating material specifications for technical compliance.
- Provide on-site technical support by delivering engineering advice and resolving technical issues encountered during construction.
- Review any design modifications and value engineering proposals, ensuring adherence to project standards.
- Maintain accurate records of engineering documents, correspondence, and revisions of drawings.
- Guarantee all engineering work aligns with project specifications, Saudi Arabian regulations, and international standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in road and infrastructure engineering projects.
- Proven expertise in Technical Office roles specifically for road construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of Civil 3D is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working on major infrastructure projects within Saudi Arabia is highly desirable.
