Role Overview
This vacancy offers a 12-month maternity cover position within the Research & Innovation (R&I) office at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. The role is crucial to the R&I Division's function, providing effective support for research delivery teams, sponsors, and various stakeholders to help the Trust achieve its research goals.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist oncology research conducted by The Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, supervising the R&I Office's performance in initiating and managing hosted clinical trials. This includes aligning with national NIHR objectives and meeting regional and local performance benchmarks while ensuring strict legal and regulatory compliance. A major focus is on NCVR processes, optimizing how the Division delivers efficient costing services for hosted research.
Work Framework
This post involves a standard 37.5-hour workweek with an expected start date in October. The position emphasizes leadership through continuous coordination within R&I, effective personnel management, risk management contributions, and project oversight. The role also entails supporting R&I senior management via detailed performance management, service enhancement activities, and representing the R&I Office internally and externally.
