Role overview
Insight Global is supporting a client’s search for a remote Central Scheduler on a contract-to-hire basis. In this position, you will connect with members virtually, help arrange appointments with care teams, and look for workflow gaps that can be improved through better scheduling processes.
The role works closely with market operators, hub directors, and the Scheduling Lead to strengthen scheduling practices and encourage adoption of effective tools and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Arrange visits for both new and returning members with the appropriate care team, including primary care providers, nurses, and other team members.
- Respond to appointment-related questions from members and internal teams.
- Record all member interactions in Commons and/or the EHR.
- Confirm upcoming visits, make sure members understand what to expect, and review technical steps needed for video appointments.
- Fix scheduling issues by updating appointments in EHR, Commons, Traumasoft, and other scheduling platforms.
- Make outbound calls to support scheduling and coordination.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare office environment.
- Background as an appointment scheduler, medical office assistant, appointment coordinator, patient scheduler, or in a similar role.
- Previous experience working in a HIPAA-compliant setting.
- Hands-on experience handling high-volume appointment scheduling or coordination.
- Comfort and willingness to place outbound calls for scheduling purposes.
- Familiarity with behavioral health settings.
- Consistent and stable employment history.
Additional information
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity based in the United States and offered in a remote format. The pay rate is $18 per hour.
