About the Facility
RegalCare at Quincy is a skilled nursing community focused on delivering attentive, high-quality support to residents. The organization aims to create a caring, welcoming setting where people can work toward better health and overall well-being.
Role Summary
This position is for a Registered Dietitian who will help improve residents’ quality of life through individualized nutrition planning. You will work with an interdisciplinary care team to evaluate dietary needs, build customized nutrition interventions, and track progress to support the best possible health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete thorough nutrition assessments for residents at admission and whenever a reassessment is needed.
- Create customized care plans that reflect medical conditions, food preferences, and cultural needs.
- Offer nutrition guidance and counseling to residents and their families on an ongoing basis.
- Review residents’ intake and nutritional status, then update plans when changes are required.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and improve results.
- Help ensure the facility follows applicable state and federal rules for nutrition and food service.
- Take part in care team meetings and contribute to discussions around resident care plans.
- Keep current with evolving research, standards, and best practices in dietetics and nutrition.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should hold a degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a closely related discipline, and must be currently registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. State licensure as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist is required, or the candidate must be eligible to obtain it. Prior experience in clinical nutrition is preferred, especially in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment. Strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy, therapeutic diets, and dietary guidelines is important, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. A compassionate, patient-centered approach is essential.
