Job description
Overview
Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Niagara Falls, Ontario, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional health, beauty, and convenience services. This position focuses on keeping customers central by managing merchandise flow efficiently and supporting store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage merchandise by receiving, organizing, and merchandising products to exceed customer service standards.
- Maintain seamless inventory movement from receiving areas to sales floors including Distribution Centre, seasonal, and direct store deliveries.
- Organize backroom stock according to Backroom Inventory Management processes and uphold neatness standards.
- Ensure promotional materials such as signage, flyers, markdowns, and labels are prepared and implemented as directed.
- Maintain expertise in assigned product categories including inventory control, product placement, expiry tracking, and promotion compliance.
- Support perishable goods quality and standards alongside store managers.
- Maintain proper documentation for incoming and returned merchandise accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting shoppers, answering product inquiries, and following store uniform and appearance policies.
- Comply with health, safety, store standards, and loss prevention policies consistently.
- Perform additional duties as requested, including assisting with cash register operations when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated planning, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- A balance between teamwork and efficiency in merchandising and receiving functions.
- Well-developed organization skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort adapting to changing sales floor situations effectively.
- Experience with cash handling requiring accuracy and efficiency.
- Basic computer and register operation skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain records responsibly.
Physical and Work Conditions
- Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds safely.
- Capability to use ladders as required.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $17.60 to $20.85, with exact compensation based on candidate experience, knowledge, and geographic location. This is a newly created role and the company employs artificial intelligence in candidate screening and selection processes.
