Role overview
Compass UOL is looking for a junior React front-end developer to help build and improve web interfaces for a remote team based in Brazil. The role focuses on creating user-facing solutions that align with business needs and UI/UX designs, while also supporting integration with backend services.
What you will do
- Create web interfaces that match business requirements and the layouts produced by UX/UI teams.
- Connect the front-end layer with backend services to deliver a smooth user experience.
- Develop solutions in line with the project’s coding standards, architecture, and quality guidelines.
- Maintain high delivery quality through strong development practices, clean organization, and code upkeep.
- Help improve the application over time by focusing on performance, usability, and overall user experience.
Required experience and knowledge
- Hands-on experience with front-end development using React.
- Working knowledge of microfrontends, component-based architecture, microservices, and BFF (Backend for Frontend).
- Experience writing unit tests and mutation tests to improve reliability and quality.
- Comfort working in agile delivery environments.
- Experience participating in discovery work, requirements gathering, and technical estimation.
- Understanding of front-end architecture.
- Familiarity with development best practices, componentization, and building scalable web applications.
Preferred knowledge
- Exposure to Node.js is a plus.
