Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled React Developer to join our team, working remotely from Cambridge, Ontario. The contract role starts immediately and continues until December 19, 2026. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in React.js and modern front-end technologies in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Have at least three years of practical experience developing applications using React.js.
- Demonstrate strong skills in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and familiarity with modern build tools such as Webpack and Babel.
- Experience managing state using libraries like Redux or the Context API and utilizing React hooks effectively.
- Proficient in version control with Git and familiar with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Understand responsive design concepts and ensure compatibility across multiple browsers.
- Exhibit excellent analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Be an effective communicator capable of working well within a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with TypeScript and modern testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
- Knowledge of techniques for optimizing React application performance.
- Familiarity with UI component libraries like Material-UI, Chakra UI, or Tailwind CSS.
- Some knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies like Docker is advantageous.
