Quantity Surveyor

Role overview

An established and expanding contractor is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of residential developments across Dublin. The role sits within a growing commercial team and will cover projects in North and South Dublin. You will be involved from early-stage commercial planning through to final account closeout.

Experience in residential construction is preferred, but candidates with Quantity Surveying experience in other construction sectors who want to move into residential work are also encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the commercial and contractual elements of several residential projects at once.
• Produce cost plans, budgets, valuations, and final account statements.
• Assist with procurement and day-to-day subcontractor coordination.
• Track project expenditure and maintain strong cost control throughout delivery.
• Draft and agree subcontract package terms.
• Contribute to forecasting, financial reporting, and overall project financial management.
• Work closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and senior leadership.

Candidate profile

• You should have at least 2 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Background in residential construction is an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
• Solid understanding of cost control, procurement, and subcontract administration is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and organisational ability are important.
• You must be comfortable managing several active workstreams across construction sites.
• A relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a closely related field is expected.
• RICS accreditation or an equivalent professional qualification is beneficial, but not essential.
