QA Inspector

Job Overview

The QA/QC Inspector position is critical in supervising construction processes and ensuring the highest quality standards are upheld within projects. This role involves conducting thorough inspections, testing materials, and verifying compliance with project-specific requirements, relevant industry practices, and global norms. Collaboration with the QA GEC Supervision team is essential to maintain WSP International LLC-Qatar Branch's distinguished reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed inspections of construction activities related to roads, highways, and infrastructure to confirm adherence to Ashghal specifications and established quality plans.
• Execute material testing and analyze results to guarantee conformity with international standards and project criteria.
• Accurately record inspection outcomes, test results, and any deviations, preparing comprehensive reports for project teams for necessary follow-up.
• Track construction progress, detect potential quality problems, and enforce corrective actions to safeguard project standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and effective quality control strategy.
• Maintain detailed documentation of inspections and quality records for audit and reference purposes.
• Offer prompt insights and recommendations to enhance construction workflows, boost project quality, and achieve client satisfaction.
• Stay informed about newest industry regulations, standards, and best practices in road and infrastructure construction.
• Support the formulation and execution of customized quality control plans tailored to each project's unique requirements.
• Promote and enforce safety by identifying and mitigating possible hazards during construction activities.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is mandatory.
• At least 15 years of experience in QA/QC inspection specifically within road and infrastructure construction projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Ashghal specifications alongside relevant global standards for road and infrastructure projects.
• Competency with inspection tools, testing equipment, and software used for data analysis.
• Strong analytical capabilities to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring strict project compliance.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to engage successfully with varied project participants and stakeholders.
• Ability to operate autonomously, efficiently prioritize tasks, and meet stringent project deadlines.
• Possession of a valid driving license and readiness to visit construction locations as required for inspections.
• Familiarity with MS Office and construction management software is preferred.
• Possession of professional QA/QC certification or equivalent is advantageous, reflecting a commitment to quality standards.
