Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team immediately. This role requires working closely with project stakeholders to ensure seamless and efficient delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project delivery end-to-end with minimal support from senior management.
- Examine and analyze technical drawings, scopes, and project specifications alongside the estimating team.
- Review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) take-offs and project cost spreadsheets ensuring all scopes are accounted for by estimators.
- Negotiate assertively with clients to build and maintain a strong work pipeline.
- Efficiently manage suppliers and coordinate for competitive pricing.
- Assess tender submissions and plan project schedules for clients.
- Participate in tender reviews with senior management.
- Coordinate scopes and budgets with site staff.
- Oversee project timelines and site teams to meet milestones.
- Act as the communication bridge between site and office, liaising with the Contract Administrator.
- Supervise daily site operations and staff activities.
- Manage project risks and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and control project budgets.
- Evaluate payment claims and contract variations following contractual terms.
- Maintain and review all project documentation including legal contracts such as AS4000, AS4906 standards.
- Continuously monitor department performance and implement improvement strategies.
- Collaborate closely with estimating and delivery divisions.
- Develop and manage business estimating templates and databases.
- Serve as the primary contact for departmental matters.
- Communicate issues promptly to the senior leadership team.
- Report directly to the General Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- Tertiary education is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within construction, civil, or landscaping sectors.
- Proven expertise in managing contracts, budgets, and project programs.
- Strong technical knowledge of civil and/or landscape construction methods and materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PDF readers, and MS Project.
- Possession of reliable transportation and a current NSW Driver's License.
- Valid Workcover White Card.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
