Overview
Scott Humphrey Corporation is working with a general contractor to place a Project Manager in Dallas, TX. The selected candidate will guide construction work from early planning through final closeout, with direct ownership of budgets, timelines, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. This opportunity is suited to someone who enjoys leading projects end to end, solving problems in the field, and contributing to safe, high-quality delivery.
What you will do
- Oversee every stage of construction, from preconstruction to closeout, while keeping the work safe, on time, and within budget.
- Help uphold safety and quality expectations, including site visits and inspections.
- Coordinate day-to-day project activity, work through field issues, and ensure the job stays aligned with drawings, specifications, and client goals.
- Assist with estimating, takeoffs, proposals, and subcontractor bidding, along with buyout and contract administration tasks.
- Track budgets, forecasts, change orders, vendor invoices, and owner billing.
- Support permit processing and compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and contract terms.
- Keep project records accurate and current, including RFIs, submittals, schedules, and closeout documents.
- Work closely with superintendents and field personnel to support smooth execution.
- Take part in OAC, subcontractor, and internal meetings to monitor progress and keep teams aligned.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, design professionals, and subcontractors.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.
- At least 4 to 8+ years of experience in construction project management is required.
- Prior involvement in projects from preconstruction through completion is important.
- Strong planning, communication, and troubleshooting abilities are needed.
- Working knowledge of construction tools and software such as Procore and Microsoft Office is expected.
